Pilates is a holistic exercise method that focuses on strengthening the body from the inside out. The central idea is to develop a strong and stable core—the so-called “powerhouse”—which provides the foundation for all other movements. By combining controlled, precise, and flowing movements with mindful breathing, Pilates not only improves strength, flexibility, and posture but also cultivates body awareness and mental balance.
In this course, we place particular emphasis on the deep stabilizing muscles of the abdomen, back, and pelvis. Strengthening these areas promotes spinal health, improves alignment, and helps prevent injuries. At the same time, the exercises gently stretch shortened muscles, enhance joint mobility, and encourage a more efficient movement pattern in daily life.
Participants will learn how to move with conscious control, improve coordination, and achieve greater balance and symmetry. Each session blends strengthening, mobilization, and relaxation, leaving you with a sense of both vitality and calmness.
This course is ideal for anyone trying Pilates for the first time or wishing to establish a solid foundation for further practice. Every exercise will be adapted to your individual fitness level.
Please wear comfortable clothing and, if possible, bring your own mat. Together, we will create a motivating and supportive environment where you can feel safe, challenged, and inspired to progress at your own pace.
